- Since the idiots in congress are the ones who gave these companies & banks the money, then let the banks do as they will. The goverment didn't keep them from sending some one hundred plus billion to banks overseas.

- How anyone can think this is a good idea or that Republicans came up with this is so out of reach with reality. Remember the White House, the US Senate and the House of Representatives are all run by democrats at this time and only democrats like to raise taxes on the people.

- The government is out it's mind. We are the most taxed people on the planet. This is something the UN, has wanted done on US taxpayers for years. If the government officials D.C., want to tax me or anyone else why don't they themselves try it out on themselves first.

- McCain had nothing to do with todays vote, he is from the Senate not the House of Represenatives, this is solely the Democrats, fault. If Pelosi, would have kept her mouth shut, this may of passed. But she said Republicans are unpartriotic & that was just plan stupid.

- I want the American people to see the speech, Nacny Pelosi gave that turned the republicans off. They had the vote in hand, until she spoke this morning. Democrats could have passed this all themselves but they instead needed some 100 republican votes.

- I am the roomate of Don. Here is my comment. They had a chance to straighten this out in 2003 and 2005 and the Democrats didn't do it. This morning I heard Barney Frank say that the consumer was responsible for the downfall of Fanny Mae and Freddie Mack. This is not true.

- Since many on finance committee from the democratic side, decided 3 years ago not side with republicans to reel in Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, when they knew they were in trouble then, why should the republicans help them now.

Whether we like it or not there is a thing called compromise in Congress, the deal was Nancy would produce one third of the votes from those Dems that feel safe that there election was ok and the Republicans would produce one third of their votes with there leadership with whats his name Boener. Well before the vote Polosi admonished the Republicans for not producing the vote which is code in congress freeing up the the rest to vote freely. This is a lack of leadership on the entire Republican congress and you should be mad if you wanted this bailout to go through. I for one am very happy because I said let the chips fall where they may NO BAIL OUT!!!PERIOD. Every 50 or 60 years the economic colon needs to be cleaned out for regularity purposes. Take Care.
